He deftly fits his arrow onto the bow and pulls it back to his chin. He can feel the breeze and whoosh! sound the arrow makes as it is launched toward the target to hit a bullseye. Marksmanship in archery has long been a sport of skill and competition since medieval times when it was not only hunting sport but a means of survival in combat. Robin Hood made famous the splitting of an arrow embedded in the target by aiming dead center of a target. Today, archers are mainly recreational with their proficiency, competing in the Olympics or other arenas. This personalized archery ornament is a great keepsake for someone new to the sport of archery or an expert toxophilite.
