The bright red color of the cardinal is contrasted with the deep black of its face and piercing eyes. Found in North and South America, these seed eating birds have very strong beaks that allow them to break open hard shelled seeds. You will love how this beautiful resin cardinal bird sitting on a pair of binoculars is so detailed that you can see the little striations in the feathers making it appear rea or carved out of wood. Named after the color of a Catholic Cardinal's vestments a cardinal has bright red plumage and are a welcome sight in winter against the backdrop of snow covered trees.
