Before electronics invaded our every moment, life was simple. Animated teens flooded into ice cream shops after school, sat at the counter and ordered up yummy creations from the soda fountain, such as an ice cream Milkshake, complete with a cherry on top. They were such a treat!

 

 

Do you know a busy mom or friend who needs to unplug for awhile and find a little rest and relaxation time? Here is a fun way to bring back the nostalgia of old-time soda fountains. Create your very own milkshake gift that won’t melt!

Make A Relaxing Bath Milkshake

Supplies:

-Glass or plastic tumbler
-Colorful bath crystals
-White Epsom salts
-Mesh poof bath sponge
-EOS brand lip balm (comes in multiple flavors and colors)
-Bendable Straw
-Hot glue gun or glue dot
–Card stock (optional)

Step 1: Pour colorful bath salts into the glass tumbler until it is 2/3 full.

Step 2: Pour Epsom salts on top, making a 1/2 inch layer.

Step 3: Press the poof into the glass, string side down.

Step 4: Using glue, attach the lip balm to the top of the poof.

Note: It is not necessary to use a lot of glue. Just a dot to secure the lip balm, because you want to be able to easily remove the lip balm from the poof to use!

Step 5: Tuck the straw into the glass and bend the top, so it now looks like a milkshake.

Step 6: Write or type up one of the following poems (or come up with your own!) on a piece of cardstock and tie it around the glass.

Here’s a treat you won’t have to bake
Draw a bath with a relaxing milkshake
Soon you will feel serene and so calm
Then top off your lips with soothing lip balm!
