An alcoholic beverage that is considered hard alcohol or a spirit drink, gin gets most of its flavor from juniper berries. Developed in the Middle Ages, gin was once used as an herbal medicine and is now a favorite drinking beverage. During the Prohibition Era in America, bathtub gin was a popular drink to get at the speakeasies. Favorite drinks that use gin as a main ingredient are martini, gin fizz, gin and tonic, Gibson, Tom Collins, Singapore sling, vesper, white lady and 20th century. This beautiful personalized gin ornament is of the London Gin variety and is hand-painted by Polish artisans.
