San Diego has long been a favorite southern California tourist city because of the plethora of activities available for families to do on their vacation, such as the San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and San Diego Safari Park. On the front of this personalized San Diego ornament is the beautiful, sunny coastline and the back shows the world famous Balboa Park that was the site of the World Exposition in 1915. Due to its location at the Mexican border, San Diego is considered the birth place of California. Its deep port waters made it ideal to be a defense hub for the U.S. Navy and thus the major economics come from defense contracts and military weaponry.
