This glittery whiskey bottle is a cute accessory for your bar at Christmas. Whiskey gets its name from a Gaelic term that means water of life. One of the most popular liquor drinks, it has been in existence since the 5th century. This American whiskey is a barrel-aged distilled spirit popular in the South and primarily produced in Kentucky. Bourbon whiskey is often served straight over rocks, but can be mixed with soda in cocktails such as a Manhattan and Old Fashioned as well as the iconic mint julep. Often used in cooking for flavoring, the bourbon is distilled to 160 proof alcohol and bottled at 80 proof alcohol.
