Chincoteague, Virginia has no high rises, no boardwalks or traffic jams. Chincoteague Island is a serene, yet fun filled tourist destination. Known as Assateague Light, the lighthouse located just outside of Chincoteague on Assateague Island, is a red and white banded beacon off the coast of the Virginia Eastern Shore. The artist here used a technique called the reverse painting process to paint the image on the inside of the clear glass ball. The outer surface is smooth to the touch and the paint will not chip since it is on the inside. You will truly appreciate the attention to the details when you see this ornament in person.
