  • A roll of pennies = $0.50 (50 count)
  • A roll of nickels = $2.00 (40 count)
  • A roll of dimes = $5.00 (50 count)
  • A roll of quarters = $10.00 (40 count)
  • A roll of half dollars = $10.00 (20 count)
  • A roll of dollars = $25.00 (25 count)
• Clear Packing Tape (do not use scotch tape – it won’t be strong enough!)

Castle Coin Model – Princess Themed Personalized Piggy Banks Gifts For Girls

1. Create a castle floor by taping three rolls of coins together like logs.
2. Build your castle walls with rolls of coins, making a square, and securely taping them so they stand upright. Tape the castle floor to the walls.
3. Cut two rolls of coins in half and build up the four corner rolls higher, securely taping them. Remove two coins from each of the half rolls and tape the two coins together in a point on top.
   Note: Be sure to use larger coins for the corner walls so that you will be able to stack smaller coins to make the turrets appear spire-like. We used nickels for the walls and dimes for the spires.
4. For the center turret, tape together three rolls of coins into a triangle and tape to the floor of the castle.
5. Tape together three more rolls of coins, but use a smaller coin rolls and secure to the center turret.
   Note: We used rolls of quarters for the bottom and rolls of pennies for the top.
6. Tape three coins together to make a point on top of the turret.
   Note: Make sure that this center spire is the tallest to give it a castle appearance.

Note: To make our castle we used dimes: 17 rolls dimes = $85, 4 rolls nickels = $8, 3 rolls quarters = $30, 3 rolls pennies = $1.50. If you use all pennies, you can make this castle for $13.50.

Ladybug Coin Model – Girly Themed Personalized Piggy Banks Gifts For Girls

Note: You will need two colors of coins to make a ladybug, so you will need either pennies or dollar coins to make this work.

1. In order to create the ladybug body, you will need to create a rounded oval with the coins, so use a full roll for the middle and make the two logs next to it slightly shorter, the two next to those slightly smaller.
2. On one end, use a quarter of a roll to make the head.
3. Completely take apart a roll of coins and tape them individually over the base that you built.
4. Build the head area up using another layer of the individual coins.
5. Using another color of coins, make the ladybug spots.
6. To make the feet, overlap two different sized coins for each leg and tape to the underside of the ladybug. There should be six legs.
7. Bend two paper clips to use as the antennae and poke into the tape in the head area.

Note: To make our ladybug we used dimes: 4 rolls dimes = $20, 6 quarters = $1.50 and 7 pennies = $0.07 for a total value of $21.57.
