I’m so proud of the positive response our ornament photos have seen online. For over a year now, we’ve shared pictures of our favorite ornaments for all kinds of fun occasions and national holidays. It’s an absolute joy, celebrating each special day with you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!

I’ve decided that each month, I’d like to take a look back and reflect on these photos, writing posts like this one to serve as a digital scrapbook of sorts. This way, can go back and remember all of the cute, clever, and creative photos our team has put together. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Top 5 Celebrations

February went by so fast, but we had plenty to share and celebrate. Here are our top five most popular ornament photos from the month of February:

1. Presidents’ Day

Did you know Presidents’ Day was originally George Washington’s birthday? It wasn’t until the 1960s that we decided to celebrate all U.S. presidents on this day in honor of our very first!

Patriotic ornaments are fun to collect because you can decorate with them not just on Christmas, but on many national holidays. Fourth of July, Memorial Day, and Veteran’s Day are perfect to decorate for and celebrate a love of our country.

2. #TBT

 On some Thursdays, we celebrate “Throw Back Thursday” for a dose of nostalgia.

My kids loved Pac Man growing up, and on road trips we would always play our favorite cassettes. The retro TV ornament even has knobs to control the channels. It’s amazing how quickly technology has changed!

3. Pizza Day

Pizza day should be once a month, not just once a year! Our slice is loaded with mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, and peppers, and we even washed it down with an ice cold drink.

No matter your favorite topping, we know your favorite style is from Chicago!

4. Motivational Monday

 William Blake once wrote: “No #bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings.” This means you should be proud of what you can accomplish in life, because those achievements are yours and no one else’s!

We have all kinds of beautiful bird ornaments, and these are just a few of our favorite. Our collection includes blown glass, hand-painted, and boiled wool ornaments, representing all kinds of fantastic species.

5. National Acts of Kindness Day

 We are strong believers that friendship is a gift that costs nothing. Friends are also worth making on any day of the year.

To help remind you to open your heart, you can even create a kindness tree! Celebrate your daily good deeds and never forget to reflect on what brings joy to your life.
