Houston, we've got lift off! The design and construction of the space shuttle was done in the 1970s but it wasn't tested until 1981 and operational flights went into space in 1982 with NASA watching every move. Any little boy who dreams of one day being an astronaut for NASA will love this personalized space shuttle ornament that permanently says UNITED STATES on the side with the red, white and blue American flag. With finely painted details and glittered accents, this Polish glass ornament is a wonderful keepsake for an aeronautical engineering graduate or space program student.
