Triceratops Dinosaur Christmas Ornament
Personalized Christmas Ornament
Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 2 3/4"
Literally translated to three horned face, the triceratops dinosaur is a favorite of children who love the extinct dinosaurs. They are similiar to modern day rhinoceros except that they have a bony frill which is a plate like structure that fanned out from behind their heads. Much like antlers, their horns served as recognition with like creatures, and as a defense mechanism only after they reached the adult stage of life. Their characteristic large skulls were almost 1/3 of their body! This personalized triceratops ornament is a great gift for a paleontologist or child with a strong interest in these ferocious beasts that ruled the Earth during the Late Cretaceous Period.
