An extinct member of the elephant species, the woolly mammoth had an long trunk and large curling tusks used for fighting, foraging and moving objects in their way. This prehistoric animal was roughly the same size as the Asian elephants today, but woolly mammoths were covered in long hair that allowed them to adapt to the harsh and cold climates during the Ice Age. These imposing beasts co-existed first with the Neanderthals and then later with humans as evidenced by ancient cave drawings and renditions of the mammoth. Get your beautiful Polish glass woolly mammoth ornament for a prehistoric themed tree, for a Flintstones fan or for anyone who loves elephants and their history.
