World War II Aircraft (US Air Force North American P-51 Mustang) Christmas Ornament
Personalized Christmas Ornament
Dimensions: 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
The single seat fighter Mustang was a very popular and important aircraft during both the Korean War and World War II because of its long range flying capabilities. Even though it officially ran from 1942 through 1984, this aircraft is still flying today for civil use. During World War II Mustang pilots shot down 4,950 enemy planes. Designed to use in low altitudes, it was commonly used by the Royal Air Force as a tactical-reconnaissance aircraft and fighter-bomber. The RAF and other Allied air forces teamed up to rule the air. This airplane is army green in color and has room for personalization appropriate for a WWII veteran, fighter pilot, history buff or for those who celebrate the patriotism of our nation.
