World War II Aircraft (US Navy Vought F4U Corsair) Christmas Ornament

During both World War II and the Korean War, the Vought F4U Corsair was utilized by both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marines. Due to its 11:1 kill ratio, the Japanese found the Corsairs the most formidable enemies of the war. This aircraft not only had fighter capabilities but excelled as a fighter-bomber as well. The unique characteristics of this carrier-capable fighter aircraft are things such as being the first aircraft that had retractable landing gear into a wheel well, wings that were flexible that were stored upright for increased space for planes on the carrier, and was the first single engine airplane to fly faster than 400 miles per hour. This little replica will delight a military veteran or any boy that is into planes and aircraft.
