World War II Aircraft (US Navy Vought F4U Corsair) Christmas Ornament
Personalized Christmas Ornament
Dimensions: 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
During both World War II and the Korean War, the Vought F4U Corsair was utilized by both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marines. Due to its 11:1 kill ratio, the Japanese found the Corsairs the most formidable enemies of the war. This aircraft not only had fighter capabilities but excelled as a fighter-bomber as well. The unique characteristics of this carrier-capable fighter aircraft are things such as being the first aircraft that had retractable landing gear into a wheel well, wings that were flexible that were stored upright for increased space for planes on the carrier, and was the first single engine airplane to fly faster than 400 miles per hour. This little replica will delight a military veteran or any boy that is into planes and aircraft.

11/30/2016 - "The best part of Christmas, for my family, is receiving an ornament from Santa. Typically those ornaments must be purchased online as they represent something fun from that year or give a kiddo a sneak peak into something yet to come. This year my daughter had a rough patch with some kids who felt they needed to tell her the whole Christmas season was fake. It broke her heart. Out at dinner one evening we were seated close to a man who clearly resembled Santa. My daughter left to visit the restroom and I quickly explained her situation to the man. Both he and his wife were holiday Claus's and called my daughter to them (by her name) and spoke to her. I wasn't supposed to hear their conversation but "Santa" told my daughter that it does not matter what other kids believe as long as she still did. He said, "If you believe, I can feel it! I am going to put a gift under the tree this year that proves I'm real! A peanut butter and jelly sandwich!" I of course will get that sandwhich under the tree but I felt her ornament should reflect that spirit and joy I saw on her face during that discussion. This site had multiple designs to pick from and the quality looks like what I aim for. Lindsey K."
1/6/2017 - "This was my first time ordering from Ornament Shop. I was so impressed with my purchase. I purchased 4 ornament balls and 1 ceramic ornament. This has been a family tradition since 2006 which is the first Christmas my son and I spent with my husband. My son and I had been collecting ornaments every Christmas since his birth in 2000. I was so impressed with all 5 of these ornaments and will definitely continue to order from Ornament Shop in the future. The handwriting is absolutely beautiful, the house ornament even has our address on it. The other 3 balls not only have our name, but it also has our birth date on them. The ceramic ornament is our "family" ornament, which includes my husband, me, my son, and our 2 dogs and 2 cats. Thank you so much for making our Christmas even more special. Peggy G."
